These are Tamay's favourite pieces of embroidery, made into a big soft embroidered cushion to be used and appreciated on a daily basis. 

The panel of embroidery is the annual masterpiece for each Mien woman in Taphin, a practice that connects the Mien women to each other, their culture and their village. 

Dense, silk embroidery using counted stitch technique from the reverse. The symbols represent trees, people in the mountains, children, parents, rice paddies, plants and life force.
