Entirely handmade by Tamay in 2009
Women's Mien jacket from Taphin.
Tamay made all the tiny embroidery throughout 2009 and then wore the jacket through 2010 with pride. Tamay is very proud of her embroidery, it connects her to the other women in her community, to her ancestors and process makes her feel good and gives her strength.

100% Cotton
Small-scale production, not certified organic but no chemicals are used.
Naturally fermented indigo dye. Dip dyed 12 times for a saturated colour.
Care
Handwash in cool water.
Line dry.
Hot iron.
We use ancient fermented indigo. There will be some colour rub when new so avoid contact with light colour fabrics and upholstery.
