STORY
These are Tamay's favourite pieces of embroidery, made into a big soft cushion to be used and appreciated on a daily basis.
The annual masterpiece for each Mien woman in Taphin, a practice that connects the Mien women to each other, their culture and their village.
Dense, silk embroidery using counted stitch technique from the reverse. The symbols represent trees, people in the mountains, children, parents, rice paddies, plants and life force.

Materials
100% Cotton
Small-scale production, not certified organic but no chemicals are used.
Naturally fermented indigo dye. Dip dyed 12 times for a saturated colour.
Care
Handwash in cool water.
Line dry.
Hot iron.
We use ancient fermented indigo. There will be some colour rub when new so avoid contact with light colour fabrics and upholstery.
