In Taphin, every year a woman will make her own clothes and clothes for her family. Covered in beautiful hand stitched embroidery that tell stories of the Mien culture, the land, the mountains, the community and their story as Mien people.
This is a traditional Man's jacket approximately 10-15 years old.
As with most more contemporary Mien textiles in Taphin, the embroidery is exceptional and perhaps even better than vintage pieces. However the cloth is more modern, using a synthetic black dye and machine woven cotton.
Handwash in cool water. Line dry. Hot iron, avoiding the embroidery.
